Waterbed Sheets

Now Fit Perfectly! Waterbed sheets are specially designed to perfectly fit a waterbed. Because of the special size of the waterbed as well as the way waterbeds are constructed, special sheets are desirable as they will fit better and stay on the bed much easier than standard sized sheets. By making waterbed sheets a bit larger than would be made for a conventional mattress of the same dimensions they fit looser to allow for the greater flexibility of the waterbed mattress.

You'll find that these sheets fit!  Waterbed sheet sets are available in sizes to fit standard waterbed Waterbeds often come in sizes that are not the same as standard traditional beds. Because of these sizing differences standard sized sheets don't always fit well and you get sags, gaps and pulling. The movement of the waterbed can also cause regular sheets to pull off. Waterbed bedding is specially designed to fit these unique waterbed sizes. Some sheet sets are made with the top and bottom sheets stitched together at the foot end to provide the best control. Some styles also have a special corner pocket that keeps the sheets in place. These features enhance your sleep experience, as you no longer need to spend the night tugging at the sheets. You can be sure the sheets will stay where they belong all night.  Having the correct sizes also makes it much easier to make the bed.  You won't need to keep adjusting the sides to make things fit properly.  There are several different types of waterbeds available on the market today.

The Two Dominent Waterbed Styles!  These are the hardside and the softside waterbeds.

• The Hardside Waterbed!  This is what most of us know as a waterbed. It’s a water filled mattress that is fitted inside a wood frame raised on a wood platform. The sizes of these beds are the California King  (72 inches by 84 inches), the California Queen (60 inches by 84 inches), and the super single size (48 inches by 84 inches). King size waterbed sheet sets and the other sizes are now available in more color and textures than ever before.
• The Softside Waterbed!  This looks more like a regular bed with a mattress. The water filled mattress is surrounded by a frame of thick foam and is then zippered inside of fabric. The mattress sits on a platform, which looks like the waterbed mattress is sitting on a box spring, therefore making it look more like a conventional bed. The depth of the water chamber varies from deep fill (7 inches), mid fill (6 inches), and shallow fill (4.5 inches). These beds are sized to the traditional mattress sizes so these waterbeds can use standard bed sheets in the appropriate size.
